GrandRSVP (“we”) operates grandrsvp.co.za, a platform that lets event hosts create event pages, send invitations and collect RSVPs. We are committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Hosts: name, email address and password (stored hashed), plus the event content you create. Guests: the details a host uploads or that you submit when responding to an invitation — typically name, email, phone, attendance, dietary requirements and answers to the host's questions.
Guest information is processed solely to run the host's event: sending invitations and reminders, collecting RSVPs, and showing responses to the host. Guest details are visible only to the event's host. We never sell personal information or use guest details for marketing.
Hosts can delete individual guests, purge an event's guest data, or delete their entire account at any time — deletion is permanent and cascades to all associated guest records. We retain data only for as long as the host's account remains active.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Guests should contact their event host first (the responsible party for their event); you can also reach us at privacy@grandrsvp.co.za. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
We use reputable service providers to run the platform — hosting, database and email delivery — bound by their own data-protection commitments. Emails are sent via our email provider only to deliver invitations, reminders and confirmations.
